Eel River Steelhead fishing is my favorite thing to do in the winter months. The Eel River of the Lost Coast is the gateway to the PNW (Pacific Northwest). There really is something special about this magical place. This is my favorite river system to fish in the state of California. Between big tall redwoods, emerald green water, bald eagles, the occasional bear, and big chrome wild steelhead. What more could a person ask for in the heart of winter?! Lodging/motels are available throughout the area. If you’re looking for a wild and scenic experience, the Eel River is it!
